A collection and delivery job has two customers and one vehicle. Getting it right is mostly about communication: the seller knowing when to be in, the buyer knowing when to expect it.

- Priced on the route the truck actually drives, not the straight line distance.
- Two sets of access
- Both ends matter. A tight collection and an easy delivery still costs time at the tight end.
- Timing constraints
- A fixed hour at both ends costs more than a half day window at each.
- Who is paying
- Split invoices between buyer and seller are fine, they just need agreeing before the day.
From Stourbridge the usual runs are local drops within West Midlands, deliveries into Halesowen and Brierley Hill, and longer routes joining the network at M5 J3. Long runs are quoted per mile with the return leg included, so the figure does not change on delivery day.
Access at the Stourbridge end
Before the day we check whether a long deck truck can reach the address. If it cannot, we agree a nearby loading point on A461 or a side street with room, and move the vehicle the last few yards. Multi storey car parks almost always need this, because the clearance is below truck height.

Stourbridge transport questions
- Can the buyer pay you rather than the seller?
- Yes. We raise the invoice to whoever books the job, and it does not have to be the person the truck meets in Stourbridge.
- What if the seller is not in when the driver arrives?
- We ring both contacts before writing the job off. We have loaded plenty of vehicles near Stourbridge Industrial Estate. A wasted journey does carry a charge, which is exactly why we confirm the window with the seller the day before.
- Do you handle the V5C?
- We can carry documents with the vehicle if both sides agree, but the ownership transfer itself stays between buyer and seller. Keep the paperwork separate from the car if it is valuable.
- Can you collect the same day I ring?
- Sometimes, if the diary is kind and the Stourbridge address is close to a run already going out. This is a planned service though, so a day or two of notice gets a better price.
