Moving a classic is not the same job as shifting a daily driver. The car might be worth more than everything else you own, it might not have run in years, and the person at the other end might be a buyer you have never met. It needs planning, not just a truck.

Classics travel on our flatbeds, fully off the road, so nothing turns over and no mileage is added. Our beds have low approach angles and we carry ramps, which matters for low-slung cars and long overhangs. Tell us about spoilers, splitters or lowered suspension when you ring so the driver arrives ready.

Non-runners are fine. A seized engine, no brakes or a car that has sat in a garage for a decade can still be winched and loaded. Mention it on the call, because a car that does not roll or steer loads differently to one that drives straight up.

Your car is covered by goods-in-transit insurance while it is with us, and we talk to both ends of the move so collection and delivery happen when they are supposed to. If the car is going to or coming from an auction, our auction collection service handles the release paperwork too.

Vintage cars get the same careful treatment. Older cars often have quirks: a handbrake that sticks, a fuel tap that needs turning, doors that only shut a certain way. Pass on anything the driver should know when you book, and it goes on the job sheet rather than being discovered at the kerb.

For everyday cars, see our car transportation service. Dealers, restorers and collectors moving cars regularly can also look at classic and prestige car transport for business.

Questions people ask

Can you transport a classic that does not run?
Yes. Non-runners, seized engines and long-term garage projects are loaded by winch. Tell us on the call so the driver brings the right kit.
How is a classic loaded and secured?
On a flatbed with a low approach angle, using ramps where the car sits low, and secured for the journey. The whole car travels off the road, so the drivetrain and tyres do no work at all.
Is my classic insured while it is being moved?
Yes. Vehicles we carry are covered by goods-in-transit insurance for the journey. If the car is particularly valuable, mention it when you book so it is noted on the job.
Do you offer enclosed transport?
Tell us on the call if your car needs covered or enclosed transport and we will confirm what we can offer for that move.
Can you collect a classic from an auction or a private seller?
Yes. Auction, dealer and private sale collections are jobs we take on. Give us the release details or the seller's contact and we arrange a time that suits both ends.
